Wow! Rod Picott & Amanda Shires Wow! I was driving through and started losing the signal just as Amanda started her murder ballad. I had to pull over to hear it. Those two are the best pair I've heard in years. Thank you, Thank you for having such great live music on the air!

Hey there. Love your show. Listen every time I get a chance, and I was hoping you could play a song for me. I was driving through Connecticut last week, scanning through the stations, and I caught the tail end of a song that really caught my ear, and I'd like to hear more of it. The band is called The Lee Baby Sims Show, and the song was "Dear Josephine." Beautifully written acoustic tune from what I heard and it almost made me tear up a little. I found the band's website (www.leebabymusic.com) and sent them an email telling them about your show. Maybe they'll send you a cd or something. I'd really like to hear that song again before deciding whether to buy the album, so I'd be thankful if you could help me out.
thanks,
Derek

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Award-winning Midwestern songwriter,
TIM GRIMM returns to
The Good Times Cafe in
HINESBURG on Wednesday, April 2
2008 is a busy year for Indiana's Tim Grimm. A new recording, "Holding Up The World",
will be released in May (CoraZong Records), he'll appear opposite Dennis Quaid in the feature film, The Express (October release), he'll be singing at several of the country's major music festivals, including Wildflower Music Festival, Kerrville Folk Festival and Driftwood Valley Music Festival, and he'll be acting in the new Michael Mann film, "Public Enemies" with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale.
Tim Grimm has toured and recorded with his friend, the legendary Ramblin Jack Elliott, appeared with Harrison Ford in the film Clear and Present Danger, and has shared the stage with writer and poet Wendell Berry. His recording, "The Back Fields", was named AMERICANA ALBUM OF THE YEAR in 2006 and in 2004 he was named "MALE ARTIST of The Year" by the Freeform American Roots DJs. In Spring of 2007, Grimm released, "Wilderness Plots", a collection of songs with 4 other Indiana songwriters, based on the writings of Hoosier author, Scott Russell Sanders. Taken from tales of the settlement of the American Wilderness between the Revolutionary war and the Civil war, this cd, which includes Carrie Newcomer and Krista Detor among others, was released to critical acclaim and made several year's end "Best Of" and "Favorites" lists. His songs and performances have established him as a unique voice in Americana music.

Mark, What you are doing is so great! The live interviews give such insight into how these wonderful musicians write their music and live their lives. A BIG thank you for all your support of our Occasional Concerts Series. It's a classic "win-win". Our artists get community exposure and you and your audience get direct access to some terrific folks. Rachel (Bissex) would be so pleased!
